Legendary because of its bubblegum sweet scent and euphoric high. Chewing gum grows into a medium-high plant, usually not branched (sometimes high) and produces compact, crystal-covered buds. Plants grown from seeds are very similar. Originally the Bubblegum strain was developed by breeders in Indiana, USA. Later that original genetics came to the Netherlands and they were given to two different seed companies. Each of them created his own 'original chewing gum' from that genetic material. The Serious Seeds chewing gum is more sativa-like in appearance and effect, a firm and strong plant, with the characteristic, sweet scent (which really resembles a typical chewing gum taste) and euphorically high; the original trademarks of this famous species. The only inbred strain (not an F1 hybrid) in the Serious menu. Bubble Gum has won 11 prizes in High Times Cannabis Cups and similar festivals. In 2004 and 2005 it won 5 local and national cup competitions alone! The Bubble Gum received its best prize in 2006; it was named 'Plant of the Year' by the magazine 'Soft Secrets', because many Spanish growers in that year won in local competitions with the same plant: Bubble Gum. In September 2016, the feminized seeds from Bubble Gum achieved third place in the Sativa category at the Expogrow Cup 2016 in Irun, Spain. The legendary sweet strawberry flavor of this variety is well expressed in plants grown from feminised seeds! The Bubble Gum is the mother plant of the legendary Strawberry-Banana, produced by Crockett Family Farms.
